Secure the Rayls network and earn yield: delegated staking is now live

Delegated staking is officially live on the Rayls Public Chain.

You can now put your $RLS tokens to work, help secure the Rayls Public Chain, and earn yield by visiting our brand- new staking portal at staking.rayls.com.

For the first three months, Delegated Staking is only available to our earlier supporters who took part in precommit.rayls.com and seeding.rayls.com to receive the boosted 55% APY on staked $RLS tokens. The Rayls Foundation has transferred 1 $USDr – the native gas token of Rayls – to these eligible participants to cover staking gas fees and more. 

What is delegated staking?

Delegated staking allows any $RLS holder to participate in network consensus without needing the technical expertise or hardware required to run a full validator node. By delegating your $RLS to active validators, you directly contribute to the security of the Rayls network while earning a portion of the staking rewards.

Initial rollout: the Rayls Foundation nodes

To ensure the highest level of network stability and security during this initial launch phase, all current active validators are being run by the Rayls Foundation.

However, we are deeply committed to progressive decentralisation and will be onboarding external, independent validators very soon. Want to run a node? If you have the technical expertise, trusted reputation, and want to help secure the Rayls Public Chain as an independent validator, we want to hear from you. Our custom-built staking dapp provides a seamless and transparent experience for all users. When you connect your wallet, you'll immediately see a comprehensive overview of your staking journey:

• Your Metrics at a Glance: Easily track your Staking Allowance, Available Balance, Staked Balance, and Claimable Rewards in real-time.
• Active Validators List: Browse the list of available Foundation validators. You can evaluate their performance by checking their Self Stake, Delegated amounts, Capacity, APY, and Commission (Comm) rates.
• Global Validator Network: Scroll down to view our interactive map, showing exactly where nodes are securing the network across the globe—currently spanning locations from US East (Virginia) and US West (Denver) to London and Tokyo.

How to get started

1. Head over to staking.rayls.com.
2. Connect your Web3 wallet.
3. (Optional) If you need tokens to participate, click the Get $RLS / $USDr button at the top of the dashboard where you’ll be redirected to swap.rayls.com to swap $USDr and $RLS. You can also bridge in $RLS through Stargate.Finance and soon bridge in $USDr through dapp.rayls.com. But remember all eligible participants for the first three months have a deposit of 1 $USDr in their wallets from the Rayls Foundation.
4. Browse the Active Validators list and choose a node.
5. Click Delegate, enter the amount of $RLS you wish to stake, and confirm the transaction in your wallet.
6. Once staked, you can return to the dashboard at any time to Claim your rewards, Increase your stake, or Unstake.
7. If you have any issues with staking please go to the Rayls Discord and submit a ticket.

When $RLS tokens are unstaked, they then enter a seven day unbonding period. Only at the end of those seven days will you then be able to withdraw your $RLS tokens from the same staking.rayls.com dapp. 

⚠️ Important disclaimer

Please remember that while staking provides an opportunity to earn yield, you can lose your stake under slashing conditions if a validator acts maliciously or goes offline. Yield is never guaranteed. Always do your own research when participating. Participation for the first three months of staking is currently limited to participants of precommit.rayls.com and seeding.rayls.com. There is a boosted 55% APY for these first three months, however beyond those three months no APY is guaranteed.
